Project Info

The owners of this well known Montreal business wanted their head office building, with great visibility on a busy highway, to reflect the modern successful enterprise they had built. The original facility had begun in a modest concrete block office / warehouse structure dating from 1987. Additions over the years had added further warehouse space, but the original office wing retained its pitched roof, punch windows, and split faced block cladding.
As part of GRSA’s new design, the interior spaces were completely redone, creating a new ground floor showroom, with bright open administration spaces above. The exterior was further transformed, eliminating the pitched roof, masonry cladding, and small windows. New curtain wall glazing, aluminium panel cladding and entrance canopy bring the head office into the new millenium. The new facility now acts as a bold “sign’’ announcing Dor Docteur’s presence in the Montreal economy.
