Our story
Grenier + Richards Architecture Inc. was founded in 1995 by partners Paul Grenier & Todd Richards. Giuseppe Spensieri joined with Paul and Todd in 2013, and today we operate as GRS Architecture Inc. For more than 25 years, we have offered outstanding professional service, and still manage to have some fun along the way.
Crafting quality for our clients
We bring a wealth of experience across diverse building typologies, delivering exceptional design solutions for various sectors. Our portfolio spans from high-end retail and fine homes to non-profit institutions, airport facilities, and commercial and industrial projects.
Our first priority is to listen to the needs and wishes of our clients, who will live with our designs well after our collaboration is completed. We are here to assist our clients at each stage of their project from dream to built reality. While our style may vary from contemporary to classic, our goal is to make every design both beautiful and functional while considering environmental durability and energy efficiency.

Paul Grenier
Partner, Architect
Paul graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Architecture in 1990 and has been a member of the Order of Architects of Quebec (OAQ) since 1991. Paul went on to found GRSA with Todd in 1995. Paul has been a member of the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA) since 1999 and became a LEED Accredited Professional with the Canadian Green Building Council in 2009. Paul has completed hundreds of projects in his career. His responsibilities at GRSA touch on all aspects of the practice, including client interface, design, technical research, preparation of contract documents and construction supervision.
Todd Richards
Partner, Architect
Todd graduated from McGill with a Bachelor of Architecture in 1988 and has been a member of the Order of Architects of Quebec since 1991. Paul and Todd founded Grenier + Richards Architecture in 1995. Working closely with clients and using his strong sense of design and technical knowledge, Todd has completed thousands of projects in his career. He enjoys the variety of GRSA’s practice, equally at ease designing custom residences, social housing, retail spaces, industrial facilities and offices.
Giuseppe Spensieri
Partner, Senior Technologist
Giuseppe has been a partner at Grenier Richards Spensieri Associates Inc. since its founding in 2013. He has been working in the field of architecture since 1990 and has experience in a wide assortment of projects, both local and international, in the residential, commercial and industrial sectors. Having dealt with various building scenarios, he brings his experience onto every site, ready to meticulously manage each project. Giuseppe offers all his clients a range of dedicated professional services, including project conception, team coordination, reports, budgets, construction details, site supervision, and much more.
Annie Desaulniers
Associate, Senior Technologist, Interior Designer
Annie is a college graduate in architectural technology from Cégep du St-Laurent and in interior design from Cégep de Trois-Rivières. She has over 20 years of experience and has been an integral part of our team since 1999. Annie is committed to a project from start to finish, and enjoys following its progress from design to construction. As a project manager, she is as much a point of reference for the customers as for the contractors. She is organized and pragmatic, and prefers to be part of the solution rather than part of the problem!
Meriem Benhadda
Graduate Architect
Meriem graduated from the School of Architecture and Urbanism of Algeria with an architectural diploma in 2016. She has been an architectural technician with GRSA since 2020. Her responsibilities are varied and encompass detailing and technical drawings, renderings and 3D modelling, as well as preliminary design and design development. Meriem is interested in built-heritage and integration projects and how she can bridge the gap between heritage and modernity.
Lyne L’Heureux
Administrator
Lyne is a core member of our team and has been our office manager and administrator since 2009. She keeps the office and our accounts organized and ensures quality customer assistance.
Radhwane Saidi
Graduate Architect
Radhwane graduated with a masters in Architecture from the National Institute of Architecture at the University of Batna in 2016 and a DEP in Architectural Drafting at l’École des Métiers du Sud-Ouest de Montréal in 2018. He has been an architectural technician with GRSA since 2021. His responsibilities are varied and encompass detailing and technical drawings, renderings and 3D modeling, as well as preliminary design and design development. Radhwane is interested in the sustainable renewal of buildings and green architecture practices.
Shirin Movahedian
Graduate Architect
Shirin graduated with a bachelor’s (2008) and a master’s (2011) in Architecture from two major art schools in Isfahan, Iran’s architectural landmark. She pursued a training program in architecture and construction at Cegep André Laurendeau (2022) to deepen her knowledge in local codes and standards. She joined GRSA in 2023 as an architectural designer. Her responsibilities include working with the design team and architects to develop concepts as well designing and preparing specifications and technical drawings.
